01 Intelligent Control 60-Frame Bipolar Open-Loop Stepper Motors (60CM30-4A / 60CM40-4A) are high-performance motion control solutions designed for industrial applications.
Product Overview
Both the 60CM40-4A and 60CM30-4A are bipolar open-loop stepper motors with a 60mm frame. Their core differences lie in body length, holding torque and rotor inertia. Both motors have a rated current of 4A and are compatible with the same specification of drivers, meeting various load requirements and installation space constraints.

  • Shared Advantages: Large output torque, low working heat generation, strong operation stability and high product consistency. Compatible with Leadshine DM/DM2/DM5 series drivers, supporting customized requirements including double output shafts, brake-equipped versions and waterproof designs.
  • 60CM30-4A: Short body design with low rotor inertia, ideal for light-load and high-speed start-stop scenarios, particularly suitable for equipment with limited installation space such as small engraving machines, laser marking machines and labeling machines.
  • 60CM40-4A: Long body design with high output torque, optimized for medium-heavy load and low-speed high-torque applications, including CNC machine tool worktables, automatic production line conveyor shafts and small robotic arms requiring substantial power output.
Selection Guidelines
  • Torque Requirements: Select 60CM30-4A for 3.0N*m torque requirements; choose 60CM40-4A for 4.0N*m torque requirements.
  • Space Considerations: Choose 60CM30-4A when space is limited; select 60CM40-4A when installation space is sufficient and higher torque is required.
  • Driver & Power Supply: Driver must support 4A phase current. Recommended 24-48VDC power supply with constant current drive mode to ensure stable performance and extended motor service life.
Matching Solutions
Both motors feature bipolar rated current of 4A and 1.8° step angle. Leadshine universal drivers are recommended for stable supply and fast delivery cycles.

  • Alternative: DM556 (0.1-5.6A) for higher pulse subdivision and operation stability

  • Application Boundaries: Light load ≤2.5N*m; high-speed start-stop operation; axial space ≤90mm

  • Primary Drivers: DM542 / DM556 with current adjusted to 4A
